As a part of my Linux upgrade adventure I got Firefox 2.0B2 as a part of Ubuntu Edgy Eft. I usually use Firefox on Linux and Safari on Mac. Because my Debian 'sarge' installation at work began giving me problems and still ran further and further behind on features (that's Debian, I know), I took the opportunity to follow my cleverest coworkers' advice and installed Ubuntu. Apple must have heard my grudging with Apertures lack of iLife integration that I mentioned earlier - either that or the thousand of other outcries. I finally got the cables to connect my Mac Mini to the TV and stereo. What I needed was a DVI to CVBS/S-VHS adapter and a mini jack optical audio cable. The audio cable worked flawlessly - the Mini automatically detected the cable, began to output digital sound and the prefs panel changed to reflect that - neat.I connected to the TV via S-VHS to get the best analog quality for my widescreen TV.
